Nina Spilger

Creative Producer

Nina Spilger studied Media Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden and film at the French Film School ESAV in Toulouse.

Subsequent her internship at Starhaus Filmproduktion in 2008 and graduating her studies early 2009 she started working as Junior Producer for Starhaus. During this time she also worked as the production manager of the in 2011 released feature documentary MAMA AFRICA, directed by Finland’s Mika Kaurismäki.

In April 2011 Nina Spilger went to Australia where she worked at first as a freelance production manager.

In November 2011 she joined Melbourne based production company December Media as the producer’s assistant and production coordinator. At December Media she was involved in the first Australian produced 3D IMAX film HIDDEN UNIVERSE and ABC Australia’s high-rating series THE DOCTOR BLAKE MYSTERIES.

Since her return to Germany in late 2014 Nina Spilger has been working as Creative Producer for Starhaus Filmproduktion. In August 2015 she managed the Starhaus’ feature film production 5 WOMEN, directed by Olaf Kraemer. In 2018 Nina took on the role of Creative Producer of Ece Ger’s feature-length documentary MEETING JIM and worked as Creative Producer for Starhaus for Eva Trobisch’s award winning debut feature ALL GOOD. Most recently she was the Creative Producer of Jim Rakete’s engaging documentary NOW.
